Simply Sunday Challenge: FACE IT! (My First Black Eye)

6/19: Face It! Using faces in your projects (stamped, hand drawn, diecut, etc)
Today is another fun Simply Sunday challenge over at Getting Cricky and I want to share with you the page layout I made.   My baby girls first black eye, and I hope it's her last black eye.  A few years ago my mom was keeping my little girl so that I could go to work, she called me so upset and crying.  Elana had feel out of the high chair and hit her face on the floor.  I ask my mom if she was ok and she said yes, I told her that accidents happen and she would be fine.  Then my pure mom cried and said to me  (she doesn't look fine).  It broke my mom's heart!  In a few days she was back to normal!
For this layout I used my Cricut and Gypsy to made the faces, then used those PK Stamps (Princess Face Set).  I used chalk for her eye!

I just love your layout. My heart just broke reading your post cuz I know what its like having to be responsible for a grandchild and having an accident. But accidents do happen. Great use of the face.

Kathy, your layout is so adorable! I love how you used the chalk to make a black eye. Bumps and bruises are part of life,, but it does hurt when there is nothing you can do about it for your children. Great job this week!

Oh poor sweet baby! I have a picture of one of my girls like this too. I pull it out when and show it to her when I try to explain "consequences of your actions". LOL!
