This project I have made for my own dad who absolutely LOVES coffee. He is a coffee conniseur and is at any time going back and forth between finding the best coffee and coffeepot in the world to make it! My poor mom had to put up with testing 4 different Bunn coffe makers to see which one is the best. lol! He also has a big loyalty to his brand of coffee, which changes every few months! lol! Last few months was Starbucks Robust, and now it's some specialty brand from Sams I believe. lol! So this one is for my sweet dad! My boys call him Pappy!
I'm very blessed to have such an amazing father in my life. Although my father and I were not close until just a few years ago. I really didn't even know him much growing up--I know that sounds very sad, but it's quite true. He is a wonderful person, but was just very busy in his life that my mother was the one who nurtured and spent time with me and my sister. My mother was a full time drafting enginer, and I often think how hard it must have been for her--but she always spent such special time and attention on me and my sister.
I never really knew who my father was as a person until I grew up and married and life slowed down for him. Getting to know him the past few years has been a treat for me, and I love listening to his stories and wisdom. Listening to him tell stories about his childhood is my favorite thing in the world. It's amazing how much wisdom can be passed down when your heart is wide open and ready to accept, isn't it?
I think that's what life is about...accepting the love we have right now, and letting go if someone isn't ready to share with you. Just keeping that open heart ready for the right time, and keeping it full of love and forgiveness.
Here is a very simple card for the most amazing PAP in the world!!! I even have a video for you if you are totally BORED out of your mind. I think I've had maybe a few hours of sleep so this video might show it! lol! I guess I needed my own cup of Joe! I also had an overwhelming day today--just one of those must have cup of joe days for sure...Like Father, like Daughter! lol!

What a cute card for your dad. I didn't know my dad until I was 16. Growing up in europe and him living in the U.S. makes it hard to get to know oneanother. When we finally met we became friends very quickly. We enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cribbage together. Now I live 5 hours from him, but we make sure to talk once a week.
Hugs
Brenda
Well they say 3rd times a charm. I have been trying to comment but blogger seems to be mad at me.
